Fender Amps

You are looking at a 1950 Fender Deluxe amplifier in original but serviced condition. I've tried to take as many pictures as possible to disclose any work done to the amp. Details follow here:

The amp has has a three prong cord upgrade, the capacitors have been replaced, and the original Jensen Alnico speaker was professionally reconed by Orange County speaker. All the tweed is original with all the cig marks and stained grill-cloth, but the amp has been in non-smoking homes for years and doesn't smell at all. All external screws are original, and the leather handle is a nice replacement version. The amp is silent when turned on, and there is no noise from the original pots or inputs. Everything works fine. People familiar with the octal tubes will know this already, but it's important to know that the microphonic noise from the 6SC7 tubes can vary depending on what brand tubes you use and their condition. Included are a recently purchased NOS set of Westinghouse 6SC7 tubes, a NOS RCA tube, and one more GE tube. The power tubes are a matched pair of Electoharmonix and a Sovtek. You can see that the original output transformer has a wire peeling through the top layer of paper; this doesn't affect the performance of the amp, and I opted not to change it. I would have a tech check the amp out to do a once over if you plan on gigging with this amp as it's being sold AS IS and is pretty old.

A lot of photos here, and I tried to capture the color of the original worn tweed, which is more like an in-between the strong colors in the photos using a flash and the more muted colors with natural light.

Sound description for those interested: Powerful, clean, warm, round, and 3 dimensional up to about 3 on the volume/tone dial. Go past 3, and the break-up starts as smooth going to gnarly, very touch sensitive, punchy, and just amazing. Your neighbors might not appreciate it the same way...I'm selling this amp because I purchased this amp just in love with the tone along with different expectations on volume, and the volume ended up not being loud enough to play with a strong drummer without a PA. Think drummer-less group or brushes and this is perfect.
